EFFORTS TO ENFORCE JUST LAW THROUGH LEGAL PROFESSION ETHICS IN INDONESIA

Ethics are ideas related to the goodness of human actions or behavior, ethics always provide good examples. In ethics, central themes such as conscience, freedom, responsibility, norms, rights, obligations, and virtues are discussed and analyzed. One aspect highlighted by ethics regarding a person's behavior is in the field of work or expertise called a profession. Ethics in the legal profession have a very important role in efforts to realize the achievement of just law enforcement. So that ethics in the legal profession (professional code of ethics) is an integral part in regulating the behavior of law enforcers as a form of just law enforcement. The function and role of legal professional ethics for judges in terms of law enforcement is as a guideline for each judge in carrying out professional duties as a judge who does not only teach what is known or what must be done by a judge as a law enforcer and should be a judge who has a good personality in enforcing the law by providing legal certainty, utilization, and justice for the parties in court. The attitude of judges in implementing the ethics of the legal profession through their attitudes on duty and off duty. The attitude of judges as a legal profession on duty includes, ethics in court, ethics towards fellow colleagues, ethics towards subordinates or employees, ethics towards superiors, ethics towards fellow judges, and towards other agencies, while the attitude of judges off duty includes the personal attitude of the judge himself, such as ethics towards the community, and ethics in the family and ethics in everyday life. The ethics of the legal profession (code of professional ethics) is an integral part in regulating the behavior of law enforcers as a form of just law enforcement.
